This is a film about the art and science behind some of the great recordings of this era and a story about Roger Nichols: scientist, inventor and one of the best engineers in the world. Roger was there when Steely Dan recorded their first demos and worked with them for nearly forty years. He also produced and recorded his good friend John Denver for 17 years.
Roger died in April of 2011, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. His story is unique in the history of audio recording.
